Trying to Write, Trying to Think

So, after watching TikTok videos of Anthony Bourdain and his quotes from books, I decided to start a blog after all. I'm not consistent in anything I do (in anything, really), so I don't know how long this will last.

I should probably start with a little bio: since it's still a work in progress, I'll try to briefly describe myself and my background. I was born in 2004 and live in Sukhum, Abkhazia — a beautiful little country that's recognized by almost no one except Russia. Thanks to that, we have a road open to other countries, and even though it's now overgrown with weeds and falling apart, maybe it'll be fine in the end.

I was born into a family of Jehovah's Witnesses and started consciously studying the Bible at 14. I still consider those years the best (I slept ten hours a night, was incredibly calm, and full of hope).

I'm 161 cm tall and weigh 50 kg — pretty skinny, yeah. At 15, I enrolled in a local cheap college to study construction and maintenance. After a year of full-time classes (basically the school program for grades 10–11), I switched to part-time study and stayed there until I was 19. I don't really know anything about construction, but hey — I have a diploma. At 19, I decided to enroll in a medical college because my mom heard they had a dental technician program, and after I googled the salaries, I got interested too.

So, I'm 21 now: still attending meetings, learning programming, and at the same time very lazily and reluctantly studying dental technology.

I don't have a regular job, but I do work part-time. From 16 to 18, and now again, I work at my old place — as a loader. It's not that hard: the heaviest box is about 7 or 9 kilograms; you just need stamina. They pay 2,000 rubles for a full truck load/unload, and 1,500 for a half-load. All of this is for the Mac mini M4 — I really need a new computer because my laptop is very weak.

Why should you read this blog? I don't know — that's my favorite word. I'm open to having honest conversations, if I ever have any kind of audience. I need this blog: I want to learn how to write clearly — and through that, to think and speak clearly too. I'm pretty bad at forming sentences in Russian (even though it's my native language — I'm Armenian), and I really struggle with critical thinking when talking to strangers. I want to get better.

Why should you read this blog? I don't know anything yet, I'm not an expert in anything, and sometimes I don't even have an opinion. If you don't want to read it — don't. Everything should be simple.

This blog will be translated into English using AI or DeepL: I can't write fluently in English yet, even though I know it pretty well.

Thanks for reading! It'll get more interesting (hopefully).
